Welcome, once again, to the official blog page of Off the Book Radio Show—Beyond Fiction. Let us tell you a bit about how the programme came to light...

OFF THE BOOK: BEYOND THE IDIOM

Off the Book—Beyond Fiction was created by Delfina Morganti (a.k.a Dee-Dee Morgan) & Federico Bones (a.k.a Freddie Bones). 

It was a really enriching experience, packed with fun and literature [...] Debating on such a genial writer can't bring other than enjoyment, and, of course, eagerness for a second time!

The programme was officially born on December 18th, 2011. However, the idea of starting off with a radio show on smooth and dynamic literary analysis kept buzzing in both presenters' heads for a week before they got down to business. At first, it had all had been settled as a mere friends gathering to pay tribute to the well-known novel writer Jane Austen on her 236th Anniversary on December 16th, 2011.

As time went by (and actually within the same week!), the presenters began to think that maybe they could get together to create a truly exquisite radio show, record it and have it posted on the Web. 
"We wanted spontaneous and fresh, dynamic but not sloppy and creative but still based on fact and fiction," claims presenter Dee-Dee Morgan. "So we planned our first meeting, recorded our first programme and... Well, the rest is history!"

The first programme within the first season Off the Book was born, and it's alive and fruitfully kicking! "It was a really enriching experience, packed with fun and literature—I couldn't have loved it more therefore! Sharing with such good acquaintance, and debating on such a genial writer can't bring other than enjoyment and, of course, eagernes for a second time!" was Fred's comment on how he felt during the recording of the first Off the Book edition.


Both presenters are proud to announce that although it's not broadcast live, they will be featuring an hour-long programme every month. In order to stick to a monthly basis, they we'll be choosing their featured writers and their workds from a wide range of authors.
